聞くしゅくだい：ハイキュー！！

This week, I watched Episode 10 of Haikyuu Season 2, one of my favorite episodes in the entire series. 

BBQ after overnight training camp

In this episode Karasuno, the main character Hinata Shoyo's high school plays against Hukurodani in a friendly match as they finish their overnight training camp. Hukurodani is my favorite team and I like this episode the most because it shows the personality of the main players in Hukurodani during the game.

Bokuto, the ace of Hukurodani

The episode shows Bokuto, the ace of the team, turning into a しょぼくれモード after getting his spike blocked. I always think this is so funny his face and the reaction of his teammates are so funny which is why I watch this episode again and again when I want to.

When Bokuto turned into しょぼくれモード

I did not use subtitles for this episode because it was an episode that I watched a few times already. I knew the plot and almost remembered some of the lines, which helped me understand or at least assume what the characters were saying. Because the characters are all friends with each other, they spoke in casual speech most of the time.

I was able to pick up some words and grammar structures such as ~かもしれない or 〜たら which we just learned. Simple and short sentences were much easier to understand. I think it is helpful to re-watch episodes of anime without subtitles. I found it much easier to focus on the language since I already know the plot. I will try to watch my favorite episodes without subtitles every week.
